The Love of Food
A story of Italy.
My love of cooking started when I was 10 years old, watching my Mum and Grandmother cooking and making pasta, sauces and cakes at home for our family. Deep down I knew I wanted to be creative and I started ‘playing’ in the kitchen with my younger sister while mum was out working. We made lots of mess but occasionally me and my sister came out with something very impressive and that's when I knew I love food!

Originally from Northern Italy, Armando's food has a European influence. He worked for many years as a chef in London coming to New Zealand in 2009. He opened Armando's Kitchen as a chef-owner in the Spring of 2011 and has loved the amazing local support over the past few years!
